Ominous

by dSnider in Pano's

The most recent storms we had looked a lot better on radar than they turned out to be. Not much lightning to be seen but I did get a little lucky and catch this small CG a bit off in the distance as the main storm front was approaching.

Haha! The ONLY shot I got all day with a good visible bolt. The rest there was simply to much rain to see them clearly through it. You are so kind my friend....thank you very much!

Thank ya my friend! It's a small strike but the only clear one I got that day so I figured I would share. Thought the B&W added to the drama of the scene a bit. This is gonna be one of my go to storm chasing spots. They have pavilions I can stay under even after the rain gets very heavy.

Noooooo.....those guys are far more "extreme" than me. I mostly wish for lightning shots though we can and do get the devastating tornado's to. But it is very difficult chasing in this state due to the terrain and the many trees. We don't have a good view from a safe distance much so it's not very safe chasing the extreme storms here. We mostly take cover then.

Uhm I see, so, do some extra care still, for it sounds like it'll be really hard to capture these strikes there... love the noooooo part D! heheheh... hoping you'll be able to get good captures...

Hoping I do as well! And will be as safe as possible doing so. :) I had to say that the long no. Have had a large one pass not far from my house and couldn't possibly see myself out chasing in something like that. The power....wow.

Got lots of faith on you D! For sure you'll do! Aahahaha, so animated, the long no, in slow mo.... Oh! That is quite scary then, but hey, maybe nature just wants to feel you, or trying to look for you eh?
