Hydrate

by dSnider in Animals/Macro

So I was crawling around in the rain today in my yard (lol) because I saw that these tiny hyacinths had just begun to break through. I was quite surprised when I spotted this small fly in the view finder. It was getting a drink of water out of the big drop on top of the bloom. :)

Thats exactly why I was crawling around in the rain to shoot them. They are my favorite thing to see appear each year because I know the warmer weather just cannot be far. :D Also seeing the Robins show up in full force and the Bluebirds are busy busy building their nest in the usual house they always do in my front yard. It's the little signs like this I love picking up on.

I know when these things are at full bloom they smell very sweet. My favorite is when the wisteria is blooming over here. You can smell it everywhere. Then your eyes start itching and you start sneezing but it smells good! HAHA! Maybe your Robin stays there in winter and comes to my place for summer? Don't worry...if he does he is WELL fed and my kitties are indoor kitties.

Well it sounds like you are getting TO much winter when we barely had any at all over here this year. Its so rare to see all these early "spring" blooms this time of year around here even.

I wouldn't actually mind a few white days over here! We don't see snow much at all. Seems like our spring usually is around the same time then. Hard to believe since you have so much snow right now and I am having a few flowers show up.
