7" x 5" Colored Pencil on Watercolor Paper
"Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do. " — Edgar Degas
I have two new sets of colored pencils to work with, the new Derwent Watercolor Pencil and Caran d'ache Supracolor II. I bought the Caran d'ache for only Php23.50 a piece, that's about $0.50 (list price is around $2.00). I was fortunate enough to got hold of 24 useable colors. Clearance sale brings both good and bad news. Low price—good, the possibility of these being phased out—really bad. Nevertheless, I can now say that I am a proud owner of one of the most expensive brand of colored pencil, and I got it dirt cheap—how ironic.

Very pretty. I like the circular texture in the top right.

That wasn't planned at all, I really don't know what to do the with the background so I just scribbled in all directions then I notice the pattern emerging and I just carry on with it. It reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night, wish I have played more with the colors. :D
