8x10 Colored Pencil on Canvas
Black paper doesn't work well for me so I decided to use something that I'm comfortable with—canvas. The background is tinted with black acrylic which gives me a deeper and richer tone than colored pastel paper and I don't have to worry about them fading. While canvas is rather unconventional for CP use, I find them much easier to work with.

she does excellent work i may give it a try sometimes i have canvas sheets dont know if the surface its better if it's rough or smooth may i ask do you use primsacolor pencils regular lead? or do you mix up your CP pencils?

I use Koh-I-Noor and Van Gogh colored pencils and stencil brush for blending and burnishing. I work on a 7oz. cotton canvas primed with acrylic gesso, I prefer a rough surface because canvas doesn't hold many layers if it's too smooth.
