"The road goes ever on, down from the door where it began, now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with weary feet, until it joins some larger way, where many paths and errands meet, and wither then - I cannot say." ~ Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

My pleasure, this is a truly inspirational shot and has so much meaning to it. Not enough could be said at times to truly describe beautiful, dangerous, lovely, or forbidding pieces.

Beautiful dark sky and good camera angle. I see this "it's a long way toward humanity".
Congratulations with the nomination

I like the color and "mood" of this. (the sky, and the rise at the end of this path...makes you want to see what's beyond, even if it's more of the same. You won't know til you get there.

ooo..really like the vibrancy of this version..the contrast between the yellow and sky is fabulous. i like the contrast of the path in the b&w which is obviously the focus of the scene..but both are very lovely..and each carries a unique feeling as i travel towards the horizon, skipping happily in color, cautious but very intrigued in the b&w. thanks for sharing both of these versions with us, Barbara..fantastic work!

thank you so much for spending so much time with my two photos and commenting them so detailedly.... i always prefer the pastel tones or the b/w's.... i am not the 'shiny' type.... ha.... but i understand what you mean with the vibrancy....again.. thank you !
