The Clan chiefs forbid the crofters to farm on the landscapes of the Highlands as the Clan chiefs got much more money by the southern sheep farmers, farming the sheep on the scottish Highlands. The clearencies of these crofters began. The crafters had no other choice than to immigrate to Canada, Nova Scotia, Australia.
