American actor, producer, and director.
husband to Grace Hightower.
his father Robert de Niro Sr., is an abstract expressionist painter, sculptor, and a poet.
along with Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, they have formed and founded "Tribeca Film Festival" in response to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center in which they faced a lot of vitality loss in the Tribeca neighborhood near Manhattan.
