This piece was a good exercise in restricting myself to a minimal number of colours (in this case, there were 5).
It also helped me get back into sync with the pen tool again. There's something about being able to take a photo of something (which also happens to be my awesome little car!) and transforming it not only into shapes, but also effectively minimising the piece right down to its simplest form.
It's not the most detailed piece, nor the best I've ever created, but it is one of those breakthrough 'aha!' pieces for me.
