Damn! Aren't street lamps surreal or what!
Title: Sharp Focus
The sketch is meant to be minimal and has the street lamp in focus only (hence the lack of details on all the background scene). Thus, the name Sharp Focus
Created this recently, finished it the last weekend ( in 1 hour ) . I took the old approach with this one (of smooth shading) instead of cross-hatching. As, to me cross hatching would'nt have looked so good on the metallic surface of the street lamp, I wanted to show shine and I preferred smooth shading. After completing, something seemed missing, so I added a bird!

I know. I wanted to test you. When people first see my username, they think am this dude or guy. heheh lolz.......yeah i noticed your profile! And the artworks are quite nice.....I too found it beyond 'polite' that everyone hugged in here..but too much of shadowness eventually changed me.... and from your name, it guess that your'e a girl? (Aisha is a girl's name...right?)

Of course! haha no guy ever can have that name. Jamie and Tom is the only names both sexes can share. Oh and Daniel. That's true i enjoy the friendlyness of this shadowness community. The first time i came i was shock to see so many welcomes from random users. So many followers before i even upload a picture.

Lolz...but i didnt know that Tom s a girl's name too.....heh kinda weird....Hmm yeah, Shadowness is very friendly. I was on deviantArt before this. But, that is abit oo community oriented (i mena that no one looks at the art, the more u chat, the more popular) .... I do agree that meeting new ppl is essential to observe and let others observe u...but dA takes that to new levels...doesnt it? ..... I'm also very happy to see that the staff is very interactive and helpful here!

I am not so sure how it goes in DevientArt. i have an account there now. I use to join it but noone commented. So you are probably right. You just have to friend up people to actually get them to notice your work lol. Is that what you are doing now?

yeah..same happened to me..If u visit their 'help' and 'tutorial' pages, everyone mentions that your must comment comment and comment... And i did that 9about 4000+ comments, 5000+ favs......ans was regular in their forums and chat-rooms) and got only 150+ friends..............dA doesnt look at art..as I know many ppl who have uploaded nothing and got a million views....and a thousand favs on a few unfinished cartoonish doodles......but Shadowness seems reliable, and more 'quality' oriented...

nah....But the status bar (or whatever that is) counts them...so thats why.... dA seems very attractive at first..but then u realize.... that 'n00bs get more attention' ( Not that I dislike any kind of art, but 'n00b' are specifically those who upload just a few lines in Ms Paint, or their 'party' photos..and call that art...) dA gets pretty annoying afterwards...(and there is also a problem of trolls on dA).. hmm..there's also a great art community on Google+ too, search for DailyFineArtThemes and DailyPhotographyThemes on G+, and you'll find the 'art community' ..

...hmm well on Google+ you just upload an image and tag it with relevant tags. e.g for digitalart I would tag #DigitalArtsaturday sponsored by #nameofthemoderator/sponsor ......... There are specific theme days.. Mine's on Sunday......
