This drawing I started a month ago and just completed this weekend. I remember thinking I just wanted to do some quick trees in the background.. but they actually turned out to take a very long time to do... nevertheless I loved working on it and happy I took my time with the trees.
The girl is inspired by my friend Joane, who I had a photo shoot with while she was visiting from Germany. The drawing turned out very different from the original but that usually always happen as I love the creative process of adding and changing stuff.
She's done with colour pencils and a bit of markers.

Gorgeous piece; the time was very well spent on the bg. I feel strangely drawn to this piece--even the title speaks to me of some lost part of ourselves that we are seeking (I feel like I am in that place, seeking that something). I love the natural background; I feel like the character is at once "lost" in the woods and yet she is also precisely where she needs to be. And, as always, your skill in rendering is highly enviable! :)
