"Poetic logic is the sensuous apprehension of what we do
not yet understand in the presence of reality.

Poetic logic had to invent art to understand nature
as the positional growth of structure
within the matrix that is life.

We are the ones who put life into stones and pebbles.
When feeling is lucid, structure is art."

- "The Poetic Logic of Art and Aesthetics", Frederick Sommer

Love the fact that this is so defying to the viewer. It has a deep aesthetic appeal yet it's not what most would consider "beautiful" due to the subject matter. It's the agressive beauty that pulls me in and I could see how it might scare some away - and in my book that's a good thing :)

this really grates on my nerves. Its hard to look at, because i find myself wavering on the verge of an answer...the finality of understanding the who what where of some rational explanation for this...and then i'm sort of pulled away by a feeling of revulsion that I'm not used to experiencing when looking at the innards of something. this is finely displayed. i'm thinking that it does exactly what it is supposed to.

I had a longer description about my personal context of making this work, but here I only posted Somer's quote. My goal is not to shock but to make an opportunity for viewers to challenge themselves, to look more carefully at what they see. To explore their perception, their personal mix of feelings looking at this etc. So it's a platform for their own catharsis, hopefully.

intriguing details and patterns - great details! I have to say it's not something I would normally find fascinating, but you managed to change that for me... nice work

Maybe I didn't sound really enthusiastic but I wanted to the express that it's so interesting.
