Wishes - .desaturateplease

.desaturateplease is made as an Identity Guideline on myself, designed to be handed over to another person to make an Identity Style for me.

It focuses on my preferred (desaturated) coloursheme, in my daily lifestyle and as seen in my own work.

The basic inspiration for it is nature and all of its organic tones. The booklet is printed on 100% recycled paper, which gives it a soft look and feel :).

Gewoon DOEN is a booklet featuring series of experimental photographs. The main theme of the book is the creative process as a mainly instinctive moment versus the decisions into focusing and changing loose elements into a full project.

It also shows the process of organizing single photographs into series and on the other hand the filtering of photos with similar content.

Wishes - Thing's I've Learned

Inspired by the work of graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, this book consists of an outer casing describing Sagmeisters obvious and dry information of identification, like name date of birth, his best known works etc.

On the inside you can find more detailed info about his life and activities as a designer, as found on Wikipedia. This information has however become useless, because the entire booklet is pierced with little cards featuring works made by people that were inspired by him. And that is in my opinion what actually makes him a great designer.

On his website www.thingsihavelearnedinmylife.com people can add works showing the things they have learned in their lives so far. This project is based on one of Sagmeisters books and is very inspiring for every designer.

De Heks van Schoonhoven is a handmade book about Marrichen Adriensdochter, better known as The Schoonhoven Witch. She was long thought to be the last person burned for Witchcraft in the Netherlands (more recent research revealed later burnings).
