Excellent ... what did you use from NIK software and Aperture ?

Hi. In NIK software I first used Color Efex pro 4 and the detail extractor using the preset 02 strong large details. This gave me a colour image i felt would work well in converting to B&W. I then use Silver Efex Pro 2. Here I went through 4 versions of the Rage image. Each time I would find a preset that came close to what I was looking for and then would fine tune it with the sliders, dynamic brightness, soft contrast, and fine structure. I saved each version, went back into aperture and then back into Silver Efex Pro 2. With each version I got the image darker and more dynamic. When I felt that I had the image I wanted I opened the Rage image in Viveza 2 here using the control points I fine tuned by darkening and lightening areas I though needed adjustment. Took the image back into Aperture did a little burning in, in an area i missed with Viveza, and did a final vignette to darken the edges. Hope this gives you some Idea of how I got the final image. If you go to my face book Douglas John Loudon, Kelowna BC Canada, you can see the colour image before I took it into Silver Efex. Glad you Enjoyed the Rage image. have a good day.
