The Poplar Hawk-moth (Laothoe populi) is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is found throughout the Palearctic region and the Near East and is one of the most common members of the family in the region.
Some time ago, I was lucky to see the chrysalis of the Elephant Hawk-moth, down the steep bank of the Moat. Too steep to get down t5o it, I took a couple of shots from the top. They're OK but not good, but at least I saw it
I agree, the sad thing is only we can´t share it. I love the nature with all of his creatures and i want to share them with peoples that they see, they are not ugly, they are not dangerous they have not to kill them because they scare of them. They are the jewels of nature.
