WGSXFrank - Orcus I: Odium Scene ScreenCap2 (with comparison).
Here is another still frame screen-capture from one of my current "for fun" projects. I even included a before and after comparison! xD These are actual screenshots from the video files. The top shows the original raw footage, and the bottom shows the same footage after all the post-processing.

Machinima is a film created using an in-game environment, or by using video game characters and worlds.

The first installment of the "Orcus" series (Odium), Is being made using a combination of World of the World of Warcraft engine, WoW Model Viewer, WoW Map Viewer, and Sony Vegas.

This part of this scene is only 7 seconds long. The camera zooms in to the "television" and blends into the next part of the scene.

a TON of masking, color correction, chroma keying and compositing went into this scene.. more than any other scene I've completed. To give you an idea about how much work went into this scene alone, the total render time for this 7 second scene took almost two hours. Yeah, 2 hours for only 7 seconds of footage. That is not including the time it took me to get the look I wanted and test renders.

With this machinima series, I hope to raise the bar for the machinima community.

WGSXFrank - Tristfall and Teldrassil Edits (both WIP)
Here are a couple model edits I am currently working on for a machinima project.

The top shows an edit of Tristfall Glades. As you can see, I replaced all the "run down" textures with the textures of the newer buildings. I changed the tress to the tress found near Silvermoon... but I may change those back to pine tress(which i had originally used) or the trees found in Elwynn Forrest. I also added contrast to all the textures before swapping them.

At the bottom, you can see a very minor edit I did of Teldrassil. I always found it to be a beautiful area, however, I didn't feel there was enough color contrast (especially compared to areas such as Nagrand). I edited all of the textures in Photoshop so that they all have a bit more contrast. I also did minor texture changes to the wood of the buildings. I made the "fog" a bit darker (with hex editing) and (for fun) I turned all rabbits into dragons. I also added a light "snow" effect... I think it looks nice. There is still much I want to change, and when I am finished I will upload new screenshots.

As always, I don't not condone the use of ANY model edits on a WoW live server. All my edits are done and used on a private server I created purely for Machinima Film purposes.

Here is another WoW model/area edit that I've done for my current machinima project.

I wanted to give Elwynn Forrest and totally new atmosphere This is what I feel Elwynn would look like if the plague were spread there. I may actually raise the water height to give it more of a "swampy" feel though.

As always, I don't not condone the use of ANY model edits on a WoW live server. All my edits are done and used on a private server I created purely for Machinima Film purposes.

WGSXFrank - Durotar Edit #1
Here is a WoW model edit I made for a machinima project I've been working on. As you can see, I changed the look of the "Durotar" zone. I added contrast to every new texture before swapping them in for the old textures. I replaced most of the Durotar rocks with pine tress. The hardest part of this edit was getting the sky to look just right. I wanted the sky to have a dark "LOTR/WoW mixed" type of feel.

When I finish my current machinima project, you'll be able to see this, as well as many other area and model edits, in motion.
