The Sylvan Sentinel stands Watch over the Trees of the world, be they ancient giants or saplings. From rainforest to wychwood, all trees come under the Sentinel's gaze.

Having been a Watcher all my life I've noticed changes taking place in the countryside, trees are on the move. Here in the UK, with the changing climate, we're noticing the movement of tree species northward, some will fall by the wayside and some will survive. We need our trees, they help to keep us alive.
So with the creation of the group I'm hoping people will open their eyes more to Trees. For most people, the only time they look at a tree is when their dog is having a piss up it. Who sees the Nuthatch & Treecreeper going about their business, the squirrels & the little owls?

The Sylvan Sentinel is for all those with open eyes who love & know trees, their characters & moods. Capture them in photo, words or paint. Become a Sentinel & keep Watch over the trees in your 'local patch', for without them your 'local patch' would be a poorer place.
