Geniale Athmosphäre! kompliment! eine frage hätt ich aber: was genau bedeutet der begriff matte painting? ich hab ihn schon bei diversen werken stehen gesehen, aber eine definition hat sich bei mir dadurch nicht so recht ergeben wollen :)

kommt eigentl aus dem film bereich und hat seine wurzeln anfang des 20. jahrhunderts... als die bilder laufen lernten. :D im grunde ist es nichts anderes als das erweitern einer szene. zb eben ein magisches schloss einbauen... oder einfach hintergründe ersetzen. bis anfang der 90er wurde das alles noch traditionell mit glas und pinsel gemacht. nach und nach ging es dann in digital über. heute findest du keinen modernen scifi film mehr in dem nicht irgendein hintergrund ersetzt wurde (greenscreen etc). digital matte painting ist im grunde der versuch eine ausgedachte szenerie photorealistisch darzustellen. der begriff 'digital matte painting' beschreibt dabei eher die technik mit der gearbeitet wird... als eine direkte stilrichtung. im grunde ist es mixed media... es kommt alles zusammen. manipulation, digital painting und auch 3d. =)
