Shadowness - Tigaer http://shadowness.com I'm a digital artist for quite some time now and will continue to be one for another while i guess. =D Hope you enjoy my work! en Halcyon Awaits http://shadowness.com/Tigaer/halcyon-awaits
This one was in the works for a while. It even made it into the E-On Software 2012 Environment contest finals. Didn't win... but cool thing nonetheless. The creation was tedious but fun. Tried a couple of new things, especially with the bridges. Worked out nicely. =) Specific Info: http://v5.tigaer-design.com/?p=1525 Fri, 10 May 2013 16:30:16 -0400 Arcady's Epiphany http://shadowness.com/Tigaer/arcady--s-epiphany-2
This pic is part of the latest 'The Luminarium' exhibit. It's kind of a mashup of previous projects I did so far. The docked ship was modeled by Sebastien Hue after a rough sketch of mine. Props to http://shadowness.com/shue13 for his skills in modeling! Sometimes you catch a flow and a pic gets pretty much done by itself. Sometimes it's a fight. This one was a fight. It was the first pic in a long while that I wanted to do in a portrait format. Normally I'm going for landscape format. First the idea of tilting the pic, to give a little more dynamic, helped me to get going with it. It dedicated to the fabulous Jean Giraud aka Moebius who passed away when I wasi n the final stages of creating this pic. This time I aimed for a different color palette than I usually use. I had no big plans when I started this one and therefore am quite surprised how well it turned out. Over the years I, every now and then, took me some time to play with it. Now I guess it's, at least for now, done. =) Specific Info & Wallpapers: http://v5.tigaer-design.com/?p=1099 Tue, 24 Jan 2012 09:24:08 -0500 Hadley's Hope http://shadowness.com/Tigaer/hadley--s-hope
A little while ago I posted an alternative version to this one, which was used for a short Advanced Photoshop tutorial. Their topic was ‘Asylum‘. My interpretation of the meaning can pretty much be seen in this picture. It’s a more peaceful approach. Here we have two people on a field trip to find some peace. But the environment looks a little different don’t you think? Of course I wanted to put in a little Fantasy/Scifi component. So our two friends here are either in the future on a distant planet or in an alternate universe. But that’s a taste thing. =D Created with Vue, Xenodream and Photoshop. In this tutorial we talk about how to implement a sky that complements the scene and change the overall atmosphere of the picture to make it all match. This picture here is my personal version. The version I created for the mag looks a little different since I was restricted to only use tools and materials everyone else can use too. For specific info please check here: http://v5.tigaer-design.com/?p=1019 For all who read it I hope it will help you in future projects. Sat, 03 Dec 2011 12:31:09 -0500
