Jun 21st, 2011WHY I AM NOT A PAINTER I am not a painter, I am a poet.Why? I think I would rather bea painter, but I am not. Well, for instance, Mike Goldbergis starting a painting. I drop in ”Sit down and have a drink” he says. I drink; we drink. I look up. “You have SARDINES in it.””Yes, it needed something there.””Oh.” I go and the days go byand I drop in again. The paintingis going on, and I go, and the daysgo by. I drop in. The painting isfinished. “Where’s SARDINES?”All that’s left is justletters, “It was too much,” Mike says. But me? One day I am thinking ofa color; orange. I write a lineabout orange. Pretty soon it is awhole page of words, not lines.Then another page. There should beso much more, not of orange, ofwords, of how terrible orange is and life. Days go by. It is even inprose, I am a real poet. My poemis finished and I haven’t mentionedorange yet. It’s twelve poems, I callit ORANGES. And one day in a galleryI see Mike’s painting, called SARDINES. Perchè non sono un pittore Non sono pittore, sono poeta.Perché? Forse preferirei essere pittore, ma non lo sono. Ad esempio, Mike Goldbergsta iniziando un quadro. Vado a trovarlo ”Siediti e bevi qualcosa” dice Bevo, beviamo. Guardo in alto. “Ci hai scritto SARDINE.””Sì, lì ci mancava qualcosa.””Ah.” Me ne vado, passano i giornie ritorno. Il quadrova avanti; me ne vado, passano i giorni. Ritorno. Il quadro èfinito. “Dov’è SARDINE?”Resta solo qualche lettera, “era troppo pieno,” dice Mike. E io? Un giorno penso aun colore: l’arancio. Scrivo un versosull’arancio. Ben presto diventauna pagina di parole, non di versi.Poi un’altra pagina. Ci dovrebbeessere molto di più, non d’arancio, ma diparole, su quanto sia terribile l’arancio e la vita. Passano i giorni. È perfino in prosa, sono un vero poeta. La poesiaè finita e non ho ancora nominatol’arancio. Sono dodici poesie, le chiamoARANCE. E un giorno in una galleriavedo il quadro di Mike intitolato SARDINE. The inner memory, to reconnect the missing links, to our ancestral past, experimenting with visual & sound. Eye studied Art through Secondary, completing 8 GCSE’s Studied for 2 Years in Art College as an Interior Designer from 1998, soon dropping out from further education, Eye decided that one has to explore the inner self, before finding the dream. In 2003 Eye had a realisation, a sort of awakening, with geometry and quantum mechanics. This then aloud me to explore art again, with an alternative way of studying the formal concept “ART”. In 2005 the concept developed with intuition and desire to seek more from life and beyond. The concept became more artistic through time, expressing primarily with ultra violet paint (U.V), to slowly connect with other sources of material and expression. Using a contemporary design, vision and technic, the work in oneself, is far from the normal concepts perceived, but still unique in the 21st Century as a possible form of Art. In the years developing a theme, motive and strife, the work now speaks for itself and actually channels feeling that even myself as the painter, does not see at that time. Tirnovo, Bulgaria (Licensee of Fine Arts) Works mainly in oil and acrylic. Favorite themes are abstract, still life, landscape, etc. Works also with digital medias like fractals, 3D, vector art etc. The artist features several private exhibitions in local and international galleries. He takes part in group regional exhibitions. Some of his works are in private collections in Sweden, Norway, Germany, UK, Ireland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Spain and other countries.
