Lara Clean 2

This is Lara from the new Tomb Raider, standalone from the Lara Reloaded piece I did.** This is the clean version, before I dirtied her up and added further detail and brightness to match the light source.

This is painted entirely in Photoshop, with minor tweaking in After Effects at the end. I looked at pics of the new Lara from the screenshots and concept art, but only as reference. I mostly wanted to paint her using my own head. Things like the detail on the holster and such, and on her, though, I wanted to be as correct as possible. It winds up being a hybrid between the game screens, the FMV, and the concept art.

It did take longer to initially get the pose right. I have a slightly harder time drawing women than men... Overall, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. First time drawing/painting Lara in any form, much less this new version of her so this was fun.
