Apr 30th, 2011 ReplyI still go there, but mainly for my groups, the people have changed in there :( It isnt about the art or the people in there now, It seems to be all about getting to the top ( being admin /staff ) and not caring who gets in the way on the way up there. Too much arse kissing, and drama. It just gets to me. So I go in, do what I need to do, then leave and thats it.
Maybe that makes me selfish? But its just not the place it used to be. For me anyway.

I don't think it makes you selfish, when you are feeling unhappy at a place there's no good reason to put a lot of energy into it.
It's a shame though, it could have been a beautiful place, people with good art there barely get any attention any more. Only the people that seem to be winning the popularity contest that's going on there. That's a sad fact.
The joy I had in the first 2 years when I joined deviantART, is the joy I have found again here. Beautiful art and beautiful people, also a lot of former deviantART friends. That's what makes this place really nice for me.
It's hard to let go of dA, but I think it will be inevitable in the future.
