Hi everyone, my Name is Debbie, and Im a country girl though and though. I have lived on farms all my life, been riding horses since I was 2 years old. I know quite a bit about farming and the animals on farms ( depending on the animals of course lol)
I am 33 years old. ( I feel so old hehe )
I work as a "care giver" its more then being just a caregiver, but thats the name for it. More or less, Im a teacher/cleaner/cook/caregiver. Lol, I look after IHC people ( mentally handicap people ) The house I work in, is whats classed as a high needs house. Meaning everyone who lives in the house need everything done for them. Think of a 3 month old - a 5 year old, in the boy of a 40-60 year old, and you have the people I care for.
Its a very hard job, very demanding both mentally, and physically. But it is also very rewarding, and I love my work. ( Not too many now a days can say that about their work can they? lol )
I live in the country with my Dog Sammie, and my 4 cats, Mischif, Ashy, SG ( Silly Goose ) and Dog ( yes I have a cat called dog hehe )
I am a member of a few art sites so you may have seen me around and about.
I have been a photographer, ( if thats what you want to call them) for a few years now. I have always loved taking photos ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I brought my first dig cam about 8 years ago now, grew out of that one pretty fast lol. I then brought myself about 7 years ago, a little canon, grew out of that pretty fast too lol. I now use a 400D Canon with a few different lens. Last year I was given a Closeup kit for my birthday, as I love macro, but damn a macro lens cost an arm and a leg :| You will see many close up and macro photos from me, as I do love them lol.
I also love photojournalism and street photography. And of course nature photos.
You wont really see much on the street photography from me though, as Im a bit of a chicken shit lol... Where I live, if you take a photo of someone and they see it, chances are you will need to be able to run real fast, and if you cant, you better expect a black eye, and a smashed cam lol.
I also dab into poetry, but from what I have seen so far, . Poems and other writing isnt accepted on here? But I may be wrong, Ill need to look into that a bit more .
