Today is my son Jeremiah's birthday and this is his gift. (In case you don't know, he is my son that passed away almost 3 years ago.) I miss him very much! We will send "Notes to heaven" today also, that's where we write notes on balloons and then let them go.
I named it "Jeremiah's Light" because the name "lynx" originated from the Greek word "λύγξ", meaning "light, brightness", in reference to the luminescence of its reflective eyes. When Jeremiah was young he seen a show about Lynx and they were talking about how big their feet are. He said "Look mom they are clown cats because they have huge feet like me." (He wore a size 15 shoe) So they were his favorite big cat.
The lynx is a medium-sized cat characterized by its long ear tufts and short (bobbed) tail with a black tip. It has unusually large paws that act as snow shoes in very deep snow and its thick fur and long legs make it appear larger than it really is.
Under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the lynx is listed as threatened.

Hey Tammara,
Nov 25th, 2011 ReplyI think this is a beautiful homage/tribute to the memory of your lost son (sorry to hear that, sincerely)...it must be a very difficult situation to bear for a mother. The only thing I can say is...probably your son is very happy with your present/gift in Heaven...
Best Regards
Tammara
Thank you.
