I'm sure all parents remember the time when all you ever heard was "What's that?" or "What's that for?".
Well, when my siblings and I were children asking these questions of our mum, when she didn't know the answer the thing in question became a "Thing of Purpose".
This is one such thing.
Shot at Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England.

Between you and that gent who's bringing in tons of Scottish scapes I will know Great Britain better than my own country. All I need now's a Welshman. Love this!

Many thanks Garapan. Who is posting Scottish landscapes, I'd like to look him/her up and say hello.

What is it indeed, yet you captured it beautifully!

Thanks again Shara. I think it is a marker to show the end of the breakwater to small inshore craft at high tide. Looks odd though, all these nice red lampshades along the beach.
Jul 25th, 2011 ReplyCrimsonThrenody
Indeed! That is what I thought it was, but that seemed really...bizarre. I like your idea better.

I'm very impressed with the textures on the ground. Very beautiful reflections and formation.

Thank you Meng, the sun was very low in the sky giving great modelling on the wet sand.
