Interesting. When art is made in negativity, or expressing something the artist finds unfortunate, is it good or dwelling unnecessarily? I can't help but think that it is looking into the bad too much. Perhaps art should focus on the intended goal rather than depressingly fixate on the problem. Or maybe it illuminates the problem more clearly. Either way I have gotten tired of viewing negative art, or portraying negativity so boldly. I must admit that I find it rather unproductive. I myself do not use Facebook but looking at this image just, not reinforces my view, but makes me feel sad. Will this image really cause people to read more? No, it just hurts me knowing that I am a former Facebook user, a.k.a. person with angry/foolish speech, shooting their mouth unduly. All my exclusive opinion, sorry if I misinterpret your work.
well, it is up to the beholder. I was crating a humorous piece in this work, simple as that. I ahd another title at first..'Addicted to Books'...as he was love reading books like a smoker and being addicted...but the title 'FaceBook' is kind of funny because he has a book in his face...and also people are so addicted to facebook so they kind of are like smoking...Thanks for your critique..it was meant to be a funny piece!!
