Shadowness - SuziDragonlady http://shadowness.com I'm 30, work as a graphic and concept artist and I enjoy everything that has to do with Fantasy Dragons, Anthro and Sci-fi. :) I'm from Austria (I s... en TFP - The Second Before The Catastrophe... http://shadowness.com/SuziDragonlady/tfp--the-second-before-the-catastrophe
Ratchet was in a good mood that day actually... was... This took much too long to be finished somehow and still, I'm also somehow sad that I'm done with it already. XD A bunch of digital sketch-lines, 4 perspective grids, 127 layers and aprox 45 h later, voilà. :D I did not have a reference for every detail on there (especially for the ball-thing) so I'm sorry if something is not completely correct there. Did you notice? I'm an art-factory mood in the moment, that is the reason for all the current uploads. *teehee* I finally found my artistic flow. Completely created in PS CS6 using my Wacom Cintiq 22HD (no traditional sketches where used). I found out that perspective grids can be your friend and your enemy at the same time while working on this. This time with a Christmas-y theme. A fourth one is also in the works. Ah yes I'm in a pretty artistic mood in the moment, there will come moaaar uploads pretty soon.... XD I should have been working on another art piece and another big TFP fan art thingie, but yeah I just got the idea and it had to be drawn. So yeah. Just have a Knock Out! I apologise that his staff might be incorrect I did not find a reference for it. Pencil drawing with digital colouring underneath + a lot of effects in addition = 2H pencil, PS CS 6, Wacom Cintiq 22HD, approx. 6 h. ... keeping the sketch thingie does not make it be finished faster actually. Yeah, I watch too much TFP lately... ...more to come! "...If I'm hurting your eyes with my shinyness,... I'm not sorry" The background is pretty random but yeah, better than just a single colour. You can see progress pictures of this piece here: http://yellowdragonstudio.com/ProgressFIN01.jpg If you have any questions concerning effects, Photoshop stuff etc., just ask, I'm open for questions. ;) Oh and for those who don't know him, his vehicle mode is a Mazda RX 7 Veilside. I have been watching TF Prime a lot lately, so there might come some fanart also maybe.... :XD: Chakée © Suzi Dragonlady Transformers © Hasbro Sun, 07 Sep 2014 13:19:10 -0400 Blessed Abundance http://shadowness.com/SuziDragonlady/blessed-abundance
I finally had some time to paint and draw again. I followed a course at CG Society some time ago about environment design at the firm where I work at and I think I really learned a lot there. This piece is completely done in PS CS 6 with my new Wacom Cintiq 22HD and was a good new training again. I mostly used different brushes for the leaves, structures and textures mixed together. Most parts are just painted with the normal brush tool. I just had to put my character Drakalette in there. And yes there exists a song from Dan Gibson with the same title. Very nice music for drawing. The view was just impressive... A new drawing/painting-mix thingie. I started it as a drawing with outlines but did not like the overall look, then I just kept adding details, foliage over foliage, plants, moss, shadows, patterns etc. and so on. I also had fun playing around with the light there. :) I have no clue how many hours this took all in all, I was making too many breaks to tell now. Scanned-in pencil sketch, fully coloured in PS CS2. I felt like doing some digital painting again and OWLs, so I got the idea for this. And I love to play with light in such darker sceneries. All done in Photoshop CS2 with the brush tool, lasso tool, a bunch of layers and layereffects and my Wacom Graphire 4. The owl there is a Tawny Owl. I really like how this came out, it was worth all the hours. I plan to make this available as print. I think it fits nice to the characters and the overal scene. The characters there are Sorit and Sans Title from =skulldog's comic Asis. I hope that I did everything right on them and that you will like it. ^__^ It was fun to work on. Thanks very much again!
