I'm a Illustrator, comic colorist, Graphic designer. I love all related with this and always looking for new ways to improve my skills.
May 2nd, 2011I've had a passion for art since the day I could pick up a crayon and scribble my first masterpieces! From making Spirograph drawings to Origami paper folded figures, I've always been fascinated with color and shapes. That love has progressed into a full-blown obsession with digital art. Whether it be beautifully colorful fractal creations or fantasy figures and surreal landscapes, my passion continues... Dec 3rdCitizen. Artist. Idealist. Hero-wanna-be. I would say Ultraman created Vivalanat. During my first encounter with Ultraman as a kid, I had become so pre-occupied with the thoughts of heroes, ideals, changing the world, helping the society. I was so fond of Ultraman so much that I started to draw doodles of the hero in the pages of his school notes. Little did I know, Ultraman was doing something to me as kid. I started to like colors, shapes, imagery and I found out that I had magical powers too, using my hand and my imagination. When the I realized this growing flame within my heart called passion, the artist, within me was born. Like any artist who adapt to the tides of time, I chose the most recent media in order to express my art. I studied graphic design in order to channel my passion using modern tools and techniques, such as the Vector. The tools may have changed, the techniques may have improved but I'am still the same--the Ultraman whose superpowers (in order to change the world and help society) lies not in martial arts, but in digital arts. my ideals are still intact, and I am more than willing now to use my art to inspire others and create a lasting change in people's lives.
Feb 24th, 2011Art Book: www.amazon.com/author/isissousa OBS: I don't collect followers. ONLY follow my work if you REALLY like it. Thanks ;) I am a 27 year old, self-taught freelance CG Artist (illustrator, concept artist, graphic designer) with over 10 years of experience in Graphic Design. I have written my first book “Art of Isis Sousa & Guests”, coming soon via Mad Artist Publishing, the first of many to come. As part of my commitment to see artworks (almost) every day and improve as artist, I am now part of IT’SART team, helping administrating the CG Gallery and working on digital painting video classes for this site. I’ve also joined the administrator’s team of the fabulous Deviant Art Group, #AllWomen, to help moderating the group’s galleries. Nonetheless, as part of my commitment to improve as individual, I read, think and discuss Leadership on a weekly basis. I was born and raised in Brazil, living mostly of life in São Paulo, a wonderful mega city. On the last 3 and half years I’ve been living in Norway, with my best half. We live in a gorgeous small valley in the middle of the country, surrounded by waterfalls, a small river, mountains and forests. A perfect location for a closer contact with forest spirits, gnomes, trolls and other magic creatures. On my scarce free time I like to weave, knit, bake, watch great movies, read good books and paint more! Did I mention I am member of two “handicrafts & tradition” community groups? If you have any questions of feedback about my work, please, feel welcome to contact me!
