I don't thonk I was lucky. Beautiful stars byt too much light pollution in my area and the binoculars are not fantastic.

November - there is a comet in November!

That will take a long time. Around 13th of August there is a comet shower and the falling stars are 1 per 5 minutes. We always sit in the garden facing up then. Great!

How wonderful! For some reason, in Perth, during the best of teh meteor showers, it's always cloudy. One year, we had one of the biggest lightning & thunderstorms ever - it was also apparently teh best Geminid metoer showers ever and the West coast of Australia was supposed to be the best place to see it. Not that year! The lightning was brilliant though

Great, sometimes in August it is cloudy too and almost nothing to be seen. Pity. This year was different, but it was kind of cold!
