Nov 28thfree you mind and live with art it's good for you.. “And I knew my vision of the garden of savage beauty had been a true vision. There was meaning in the world, yes, and laws, and inevitability, but they had only to do with the aesthetic and in this Savage Garden, these innocent ones belonged in the vampire's arms. A thousand other things can be said about the world, but only aesthetic principles can be verified, and these things alone remain the same.”
Sep 25th, 2011A self taught artist who doesn't believe in sticking to one style completely. Although, graphite is what Rhett EIghmy has the most experience in, He plans to experiment with many styles and mediums before it's all said and done. "To create in a spontaneous way: one idea doesn't always stem from the last. Sometimes to create something of it's own it has to be given the freedom to develop it's own style within my creative means." -яe
Jun 24th, 2011I'm 27 years old and of Laotian nationality. More about me: I fell in love with art since I was a child. Art has always been my strong subject at school. Sailor moon was my first inspiration to draw manga style. I have not posted my old works yet -- perhaps another day. Secondly, Final Fantasy (VII-VIII-X-XII-XIII) was my inspiration for digital art and fantasy characters. Recently, I have been in love with photography. I have a thirst for improvement. Hobby: I spend most of my time on online forums (mostly about One Piece), read manga online, do photography, drawing, watching anime and watch Asian drama. You can also follow me at http://aki001.deviantart.com Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day!

May 24th, 2012I am a self-taught artisan, with no formal training. I paint in oils, acrylics, watercolors. I create jewelry, wall art and garden sculpture from wire, glass, beads, stone and wood. I do fibre art and jewelry. I am willing to try just about any art form and wish there were more hours in the day to do so. Aug 30th, 2011Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.
