semi funny story: I wanted to try an entry level DSLR - so 'amazon'ing' I go. Ordered a Cannon Rebel T1... the very day before it arrives...My wife 'surprises' me with a Sony 390 ..so..one old..equaled 2 new..reviews favor the cannon..Since I can't read...I like the Sony. Go figure. Life good with you?
I wish I could get a two-for-one deal like that! Did you shoot a bunch with both to get a feel for which one you liked better?
Things are going well here. Waiting on spring so some color can come back into the world again. It's more fun shooting then!
yep...while the cannon probably is the better of the two -having more options, bells or whistles- The Sony does what I want, a bit easier and close enough to the cannon that at my stage in this - easy wins. Could be that the last camera was a Sony..just used to the setup. Like Corel and adobe..have both still use the free Photoscape most of the time. I really need to make time and read how to use Corel/adobe more. Like the cannon...those two can do tons more...just I don't know what to do with them. =) Like layers...if that isn't something to do with a cake..it's beyond my skills at the moment.
