well...I have a one year contract @ Kandahar..would rather break/lose or have this one stolen than the canon..leave here next tuesday. still stay in touch - no phone -but should have fair easy access to internet. it a neat camera..sony mirror less system. extra lens or three to go with it..should be fine.
Dec 5thOnce again you have captured a rare glimpse of nature..and done it extremely well!! Birds here don't stay long enough...all of them are looking for cooler climes. congrats and a well deserved DI !!
Jun 26thFirst rate stuff here Randy! But then you do not do less. Now...You asked for comments...I myself and me - we are not that good...I do, however, have the ability to read...I did, and this is what I got out of the three 'portrait for dummies' books: Black and white (more emotion vs color) Darker environment..focus on subject and blur backdrop ..remove distractions/unclutter the scene. Focus on the face... Go for up close pictures of feet, hands, nose or ears...then span out to grab the entire length (emphasis the petite proportions). Use even light. Avoid flash...Wide apertures/small F's... And it appears you either read the same books..or just came with the gift via DNA. As all the above suggestions/recommendations are within the photo =0). Really is terrific Randy...someday..should I live to be about 150 or so...I might catch up. Keep em coming!
Jun 26thnote the man at work?.. right edge 1/3 from bottom. this was one week prior to the Jubilee.. everything was being cleaned and double checked.
Jun 24thAn early morning scene in a place called Wawa in Montalban, Rizal here in the Philippines. This place is said to be inhabited by a Pugot, a supernatural being in the local mythology..
Jun 17thThanks! It was one Hell of a trip as well. 2 weeks...south England...3 days in London (2 10 hour 'Harrods' tours-just to make sure I got to do/see what I wanted)..every day was packed. Still resting and rebuilding my energy. A mere 2500 pic's. Damn glad we don't use film anymore. =)
