Feb 19th, 2011After 10 years of inactivity I recently started drawing again. I'm from South Africa and live in Cape Town. I studied Graphic Design but mostly apply that to doing marketing and design for the night-club my husband and myself own. After designing tattoos for us I realized how much I missed drawing and started working harder to improve. "Who has been your favorite teacher?" I don't think any of the professionals that were suppose to help mold my young mind had an effect on me. I can name several that were a negative influence. The person that taught me most about life and art is my mother. She is an artist in her own right and gave me a love for all forms of creativity. "How did you find Shadowness?" I'm a member of Deviant Art and was invited by May Fong. "What is your favorite non-art related activity?" I LOVE reading. I wish I had more hands and eyes to draw and read at the same time. I enjoy designing and making my own clothes...it's a goth thing.

Apr 29th, 2011�Do you want to know a secret? I saw him� He walked alone, wandering in lonely worlds, travelling around eternal landscapes which blurred under his feet. He wanted to know the aroma of the unreal, and in his trip full of dreams, he collected the fantasy trapped in the stars, the sighs that the wind kept giving him every morning and night, he received the visit of the creatures who live in dreams, and from them he learnt the essence of the delicate touch of passion. He captured in his notebook those dreams which didn�t come true, the mind�s dark betrayals, the aromas from the intense reality which he will never be able to live. Because he doesn�t live the present, neither the past, or the future, he is the shadow which follows the wind, the sound which accompanies the fantasies from the unreal. He looks for beauty in the darkness, for the passion in the inert, every sigh immerses him in a world where creation is life. Sometimes he felt like time slid through his fingers, and in every second the most dark ghosts would overcome him, he woke up from his litany with a creative spirit, and his sensations, his fears, disappeared at creation. Close your eyes, and in each sparkle of your heart, he will reflect your soul�s fears. Jul 25th, 2007Loved drawing since young and Japanese comics from Secondary school years. After graduating from university Kuang Hong came in contact with digital arts in 2001. Most works are concept arts for various games, and illustrations for magazines and publications, recent appearences being in ImagineFX magazine, EXOTIQUE2, Kikan-S etc. Currently working as an art director in a game company in Beijing, aside from art direction he does 2D concept arts including characters, monsters and environments.
Jul 11th, 200718-year old Finnian MacManus is a self-taught 3D artist and designer from Chicago, Illinois. He uses Photoshop, Cinema 4D, and Vue to express his ideas, trying to create industry-quality pieces from the ground up. His work has been exhibited in several international online art collectives, such as Cosmosys, Heartsurge, The Luminarium, Intrinsic Nature, and most recently DepthCore, where he collaborates with other artists to improve his skill and technique. The work of painter Caravaggio and that of concept artist Steve Burg are two important inspirations for Finn... He is glad to be here at the wonderful Shadowness!
