Really it wasn't, it just took me a lot of time and patience to choose the right tones and to cover it all with graphite. Being very careful with how you work with a drawing is the key from not smudging everywhere...
Those hands look like they were really complicated. I also like the way you did the hair at the top with those lighter streaks. The values make this look extra glamorous, the the lips are beautiful.
