Kratos being all badass 'n' stuff! I based the painting of the photograph from the awesome, awesome Sideshow Collectible statue: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/mas_assets/jpg/300002_press02-001.jpg (Which I will someday own for myself...). So I've been on a bit of an artistic break for a few weeks...or I had a massive Art Block...I dunno. One or the other haha I decided when all else fails...paint up something from The Avengers haha. A fun, personal piece based off Rhodes awesome new painted up "War Machine" suit in Iron Man 3: http://cdn1.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/Iron-Patriot-Armor-Iron-Man-3-Official-1024x682.jpg But I took some liberties and threw in more red around the chest like the original comic version (who is also supposed to be Norman Osborn...but watevs). IRON MAN 3! WOO!!!! "Perfect Cell" Commission You handsome bastard, you. *shakes fist* I was VERY happy to get this commission, as Cell is probably my favorite DBZ character, so I had no trouble figuring out how to go about this one! I was going to go all out and add all these cyborg-like flourishes all over him, like mechanical eyes/jaw piece, circuits running through his skin etc.... but I decided to keep it more simple and true to his actual look in the anime and stick with a more human face. But at the same time, he ain't really human, so I had to be careful with adding too much detail and flaws on his face, and think about different textures and materials that piece him together. Ahh, good times :D Photoshop CS5 15+ hours. Airbrush + Texture brushes. Dodge/Burn and Sharpen/Blur for finishing touches!

Yet another portrait of Kiefer Sutherland in his role in Phone Booth. SO much love for this guy. Base reference was from a pic of him in "24".
