This is my entry for Exotique 7, a special book that gathers the best digital character design. I was inspired by Aibhill, one of the most famous banshees of Celtic legends: she appeared in Brian Boru's dream before an important battle, while she was washing some bloody clothes until the clear water turned into red.

Amazing piece. I love the contrast between cool colors of character and background, and the blood on her dress. Red shades on her elbows, nose and around her eyes are perfect, because otherwise she would look like a marble statue, not a woman or even a banshee.

the water is spectacular! love all the ripples, such serene colour choices, makes the blood really stand out and take effect! the wrinkles in the clothes are great
