Acrylic on canvas. 48" x "30 . $600 commission excluding shipping and material costs. Canvas was $35 and and $57 shipping. 1.25 months of work.
This was really hard for how dark it was...cityscapes are difficult.

You should reshoot this picture completely cropped artwork-only. I want to appreciate the textures!

I would but the painting was a commission. The client has it bolted onto his wall somewhere down in Texas. :P

Wow! Thanks for the fave! :D
Sep 29th, 2008 ReplyIt was a very difficult piece...I was payed just under minimum wage per hour I spent on it, but that's alright, since it goes in my portfolio, and was an amazing experience, made a loyal customer, and idk, it was just great.
I'm glad you find it as great as I do. :)

think about it this way, if you would have painted 10 days faster you would work above the minimum wage :D its all good. Yea i love it, where the hell you find that client anyways?
Sep 29th, 2008 ReplyRuairdridh
Well it's okay that I made less than minimum wage cuz of the benefits of staying at home and working when I felt inspired and such...which...is the one thing that took away from the wage haha....but yeah he's my long standing client for almost a year now and I found him on Deviantart...he's employed me to do things for dailyyeah.com and linkspore.com and some facebook applications as well. He like, saw one of my hand paintings and was like wow I want one of my own for my wall, haha. :)
