Tribute Band?
I'd seen a picture of the real Blues Brothers where they are all standing around the old police car and wanted to create something similar. My original idea was to have the band illuminated by a horseshoe of car headlights but we only had half an hour to do the shot so instead I used 4 off camera flash units with small diffusers to provide the lighting I wanted.
I think if I'd had more time we could have combined the two ideas and come up with something real special, oh well, always next time, lol.

The band only had half an hour break from band practice to do the poster shot. They originally wanted me to use a white backdrop and shoot each band member separately, then edit them all together later. Not a chance, lol. Why would I want to make extra work for myself when I can get the shot we needed out-doors in the car park and in the same time ;)"

Thanks, Got to admit I do love doing band shots, I think it helps that I used to do graphics and logos so I have a good idea what will work with text added later. If you're not careful the text can alter the effect of the image and it can loose it's strength.
