Sunset - 11 May 2011

Another shot from my golden hour set, it's amazing how quickly the light can change in such a small space of time. Going to make it interesting when I try to take a portrait of someone in front of this, lol ;)"

Very nice composition. I like how you've kept the landscape to a minimum and gave so much space to the sky! Works really well!

Thanks, I tried giving the landscape the bottom third but it looses the impact, the same as without the landscape there. I think with just the trace of the landscape at the bottom it helps give context to the shot without taking anything away from the great sky :)

Yeah, I think that definitely worked out for the best here!

      You're very welcome! :)

Nice capture, the light bounces nicely with the cloudformations and i like the transfer between the heavier contrasted clouds at the bottom to the smoother at the top. Good addition with the siluette-like surface

      Cheers :)
Wanted to keep the landscape to a minimum as this was all about the sky really. I did try with a uv filter on the lens but it just made all the clouds right up to the top really stand out and just didn't look right, wanted to keep all the drama near the horizon.
