Final shot of a friend Colin. I've been after shooting Colin for quite some time now, he is an amazing character.
A 4 flash set-up was used here to give depth to the image yet keep it dark and moody at the same time. The main light with snoot is high above the subject, slightly forward and to the left. The fill light is directly in front but very low power. 2 low power rim lights at 45 deg either side behind the subject to help bring out a little more detail and add depth.

Thanks, I do like using black & white, works really well for some of the more darker shots :)

Starting to realise the only limit to this is my own imagination when it comes to using the flash ;)"

Jun 30th, 2011 ReplyOther than the usual sharpening and contrast this is pretty much straight out of the camera.
