Ian looking all moody by RobertBalmer

Ian looking all moody

by RobertBalmer in People

I just loved the sinister look of Ian in the victorian outfit so we went for a dark n moody look.
I used 2 flashes here, one to the left and right of him. By dropping the power of one of the flash units we created a much better final shot.

Everything looks great, from the technical aspect to the costume etc. But somehow it doesn't give me the old feel to it. It just pops in mind that it's a modern guy dressed in old clothings.

A bit too clean, mmmmm. Yes, I think if I'd maybe bleached the colours a little and used a sepia tint with some added dirt and scratches maybe?

Yeah I'm thinking something like shifting the color balance and lower the contrast. Add dirt and scratches are a lil over kill, especially while i am trying to get rid of scratches on my negatives here, haha.

Really well done, I get a bit of a Jack the ripper feeling :)

I loved the outfit Ian was wearing, it worked so well against the black wall to give that dark and sinister look.
