- More Sketch and Toon
Here's more rendering experiments with Sketch and Toon!!! (It's all 3D by the way) A much rougher sketch, but I'm still testing out the plugin!

- My Thesis
So for my thesis class I was assigned to do 8 pieces of concept art to go along with my thesis. Now, I'm not a natural illustrator and I'm INCREDIBLY pressed for time (it's due tmr) so I decided to make my 3D model look like a sketch.
So this is using Cinema 4D (my weapon of choice, i despise Maya), using Sketch and Toon module. There's really no tutorials or references on how to use this plugin so I read the entire manual basically -_-!!! However if you would like to learn how to use the plugin let me know, and I'll make a tutorial when I get out on Christmas break. Its much easier than it looks and I would love to spread the knowledge!!!!!

Novid This is what i called Inspired. Each Part of the robot comes from different era's - most of it from the 50's (see the Iron Giant) but some are from the Transformers, some from Gundam etc...

I never really knew Cinema 4D could do this - because everybody using Maya and forgot there were other tools in making Animatics (I been doing research - particularly in the sports field and Introductions and when CGI is imposed in film - it has this pop - the same pop you see in Avatar (James Cameron) - that when done in Digital Film seems flat.
This is a great model never the less, and i know you will do well in the final. -
richholt Please make a tutorial! Be good to see how this is done. looks absolutely amazing. Fantastic effect.

But the 2 big white blobs on the midel-bottom arn't nice...
But 4 points on rating and a fav ;-) -
masonawilliams going with noxx the two blobs are kind of throw off your focus on the right hand side of the picture and may offset it a bit. and on the right hand side a brush is kind of offset it sits a bit above the border. now for the rest of it very NICE X0) the paper bag background lol and great choice of brushes! and the work on your photo is pleasing as well!! good job

- Pride and Prejudice Cover Design
Oiii vey...this project was a bit chaotic with all my other assignments going on =(
Well anyways, I had to redesign a cover for the novel, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austin. I had a TOTALLY different idea for this cover but I realized that I didn't ahve the time to complete the cover the way I wanted it to. So I just finished this (about an hour before this project is due) and I'm fairly happy with the result. I wish I could've designed the cover the way I originally intended to =/
I'm going to try and do a redo of this hopefully if I have a chance to this weekend

enii This is actually quite impressive. Something about the guy's face is off to me; I think his eyes aren't quite aligned with the face or his chin is just jutted off oddly. I'm not sure :). Oh and this is just a slight technicality, but the author's name is Jane Austen spelled with an 'e' in Austen instead of 'i'. Hopefully you didn't get marked off for it!

Rinn LOL!!! yeah i know i spelled it wrong but my teacher didn't notice (thank god) haha!

- Intro to Imaging Book Project
I've been busting my arse off for the past two weeks in order to get this completed on time.
For the assignment we had to create some sort of book using InDesign and all the art in the book had to be ours. I decided to do a portfolio booklet because it would be the easiest to put together. However, I went a bit overboard when I made a slipcase and box like container instead of a normal cover, which took a LOT of time and stops to the art store to pick up more cardboard =__=;;;;
packaging design is fun tho, i like it a lot :D

Rinn ahh yeah i forgot to explain what the third one was...hehehe well what happened was that i thought that the cover looked plain so i made a third one (the blue one) but then i realized that i ran out of white cardboard so i couldn't mke a white slipcase to go inside the blue book. So i just handed in the red and white book instead. my teacher liked the blue one a lot but she said just told me to hand the red and white on in instead xDDD

- Book Cover WIP1
this is part of a book assignment I have to do. We basically have to do an 8 page book on whatever we want as long as we do all the artwork inside it. So I figured that it would probably be a better idea for me to do a portfolio booklet instead of a story book thing with the amount of time I have to complete all 8 images (2 weeks) =___=;;;;

Rinn thanks, and yeah the spacing is the main thing i need to correct on here. cuz i know my teacher spazzes out when things aren't spaced out equally. i also want to put some color on the white swirly thingies on the right side probably. thx tho

Martin I love it rinn, the blue color is beautiful aswell as the chosen colors for the forms. and then of course the shapes in general. I agree with Tricks on the spaces but apart form that its great. I would however ditch the white shape at the right bottom, i find it distracting without a purpuse but thats me, good lcuk on your assignment and hope everything is good with you
