Sunkissed Earth

If coming down from the north into Yellowstone Park you will be approaching a small town called Gardiner. Before you hit that town, or cross the border into Wyoming, you might be greeted with this sight. The Mountain in the distance is Electric Peak and the river, I believe, is Gardner River which empties out into the Yellowstone River farther south.

I was stunned and pulled over quite quickly when I saw the clouds and the view working in tandem with one another. I stayed for some time just watching the scene and eventually moved onwards where the scenery continued to impress.

Little did I know that Day 44 was just the start of a three day shock fest of ultimate beauty.
