We do have a lot of them in this here world of ours, but that doesn't mean we should take advantage of them.
Taken on the 45th day of my road trip and my first full day in Yellowstone ever. Beautiful weather and some seriously spectacular views. This was not one of the more grand ones where mountains rest in the distance and wildlife graze in abundance, but rather it was shocking at how extensive the trees were. Like a green sea, they seemed to stretch forever. And there are, actually, mountains way distant in this shot. The ravine you can kind of see down to the left there is the drop down into the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" that cradles the Lower Falls and a part of the Yellowstone River. 2011-2012.
