This poor design suffered a crushing defeat in last years design by humans 10k contest, and as a result is dead to me. It is a solid piece so I guess I can let it out for a few peeks.
Your arwork is an interesting example of composition and It has been featured in the article for traditional art saturday! Thank you for sharing your work on shadowness, please check out the article here: http://shadowness.com/forum/forum/traditional-art-saturday-feature-2
Thank you Martin. I studied symmetrical forms in art at university. Primarily Polynesian art history. I then found a neat little feature in Adobe Illustrator that allows for drawing mirrored images, and did that for a while. This piece was a collection of all that experience put together. I should have a go at doing another one sometime. It's pretty fun to see it come together.
Woah what a nice response. Ok I take back what I said earlier this design is off my death list and on probation. This is just a section of it. It was originally designed to be a repeating pattern. Did anyone find the hidden elephants yet?
