Well I remain one of the most senior artists on Shadowness having been with the site pretty much since its birth, from starting out small to growing bigger everyday. I have met loads of fantastic people on here and continue to do so on a daily basis, if you wish to become a friend just add me its that simple :) I hail from the UK where its very wet at the moment but that doesn't change much, I'm 27 and a Senior Designer for a Web Design and Development firm in the Midlands. At the moment my duties on Shadowness is to run a few groups the more popular ones are /photomaniacs for the photographers of shadowness and I also help run the /monkey clan :monkey If you should have any questions for me or about Shadowness in general please do ask them and ill be happy to answer them for you.

Mar 29thartisan of dreams. of my dreams Lei lo aveva abituato al sangue per la paura che la sete potesse scoppiargli tutta in una volta, fin da piccolo al suo seno si era attaccato per suggere sangue come nutrimento. Aveva sbagliato mille volte con quel suo figlio e continuava a scegliere errori per lui perché i vampiri non sono bravi genitori, non lo sono affatto. Non sono programmati per esserlo in nessun caso e lei era degnamente vampira ma indegnamente madre…da troppi secoli la sua vita mortale si era spezzata per ricordarsi anche solo cosa significasse essere figlia, come poteva conoscere il significato della parola madre se non le era mai stato concesso un figlio come donna? Nei suoi infiniti venticinque anni non conosceva niente che poteva aiutarla nel crescere un figlio. Nei suoi trecentoventi anni non aveva mai pensato di essere una madre fallita, lo scoprì in quel momento, davanti a quei due ragazzi che avevano un odore troppo invitante e umano per resistere a non assaggiarli.

May 3rd, 2011About the Artist Born in Cavite yet a pure Bulakenyo, Renz Marrione Bautsita is a personification of youth with a heart for art. Bautista is a Fine Arts major in Advertising student of Bulacan State University who has exemplified his skills in different fields. He has topped visual arts competitions like the 4th Cocolife Colors of Life Student Visual Arts Competition – Runner up (College category), 2011 National Student Art Competition (Art Petron) – Grand Prize (T-shirt design) and Semifinalist (Painting category), 43rd Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC) – 5th honorable mention, 2010 Metrobank Art Design Excellence (MADE) – Semifinalist, and, a grandprize winner in the 1st Bulacan State University Painting Contest. Aside from his artistic excellence, Batista has contributed in BulSU’s official student publicaton, Pacesetter, as a member for 3 years and the Art Director for his last year. He has won Regional and Luzonwide press competitions in editorial cartooning and comic strip drawing.

Jun 12thWHY I AM NOT A PAINTER I am not a painter, I am a poet.Why? I think I would rather bea painter, but I am not. Well, for instance, Mike Goldbergis starting a painting. I drop in ”Sit down and have a drink” he says. I drink; we drink. I look up. “You have SARDINES in it.””Yes, it needed something there.””Oh.” I go and the days go byand I drop in again. The paintingis going on, and I go, and the daysgo by. I drop in. The painting isfinished. “Where’s SARDINES?”All that’s left is justletters, “It was too much,” Mike says. But me? One day I am thinking ofa color; orange. I write a lineabout orange. Pretty soon it is awhole page of words, not lines.Then another page. There should beso much more, not of orange, ofwords, of how terrible orange is and life. Days go by. It is even inprose, I am a real poet. My poemis finished and I haven’t mentionedorange yet. It’s twelve poems, I callit ORANGES. And one day in a galleryI see Mike’s painting, called SARDINES. Perchè non sono un pittore Non sono pittore, sono poeta.Perché? Forse preferirei essere pittore, ma non lo sono. Ad esempio, Mike Goldbergsta iniziando un quadro. Vado a trovarlo ”Siediti e bevi qualcosa” dice Bevo, beviamo. Guardo in alto. “Ci hai scritto SARDINE.””Sì, lì ci mancava qualcosa.””Ah.” Me ne vado, passano i giornie ritorno. Il quadrova avanti; me ne vado, passano i giorni. Ritorno. Il quadro èfinito. “Dov’è SARDINE?”Resta solo qualche lettera, “era troppo pieno,” dice Mike. E io? Un giorno penso aun colore: l’arancio. Scrivo un versosull’arancio. Ben presto diventauna pagina di parole, non di versi.Poi un’altra pagina. Ci dovrebbeessere molto di più, non d’arancio, ma diparole, su quanto sia terribile l’arancio e la vita. Passano i giorni.
