Drowning In The Abyss

Only Mankind could create great nations...
And have no will to keep it afloat.

Only mankind can create such beauty
To see it violated mercilessly like wild dogs.

Only mankind could in his last gasp of air
Make one final wish
Of something nonsensical...

Such creatures have no capability nor the capacity
to render its self free.

The abyss may have been our only truth...
And may have been our only home.

This planet is a jail cell, full of convicts.
Ready to go insane in a moments notice

Meant to wander aimlessly around the earth
Meant to die before even birthed.

All this on this bleak ground...
Dying babies, blood soaked men bleeding from there mouths
The women drowning in the sandy mound.

This is the end of it all
all of the fighting and all of the killing
all of the grief, envy and sorrow.

You know how we reached here?

We reached here because we were afraid to experience love...
all we had given was the aspect of lust.
We reached here because we were to dumb to understand trust
all we have given was the aspect of darkness.
We created machines to go the the moon
but not away to give men true freedom
We created millions of stories
but not one man read them to change himself.
And all we did - was to lust with our vanity
destroy others with our insanity
Give our sovereignty away to the insane
In order to continue the same vain ways.

What have we become as we enter the abyss?
The people that lost the will to live
At the edge of the road to hell.
We were given the truth
but we became webots and blinded three hundred and sixty ways
to nothing.
We have become, the toothless, souless demons of perfidy
too dead for the maggots to eat
and too stale for the carrion to feast

What is the only way out of this?
It is called eternity
and the only way to enter this
is the one gate
to the area
between life
and death...
