Mar 29thartisan of dreams. of my dreams Lei lo aveva abituato al sangue per la paura che la sete potesse scoppiargli tutta in una volta, fin da piccolo al suo seno si era attaccato per suggere sangue come nutrimento. Aveva sbagliato mille volte con quel suo figlio e continuava a scegliere errori per lui perché i vampiri non sono bravi genitori, non lo sono affatto. Non sono programmati per esserlo in nessun caso e lei era degnamente vampira ma indegnamente madre…da troppi secoli la sua vita mortale si era spezzata per ricordarsi anche solo cosa significasse essere figlia, come poteva conoscere il significato della parola madre se non le era mai stato concesso un figlio come donna? Nei suoi infiniti venticinque anni non conosceva niente che poteva aiutarla nel crescere un figlio. Nei suoi trecentoventi anni non aveva mai pensato di essere una madre fallita, lo scoprì in quel momento, davanti a quei due ragazzi che avevano un odore troppo invitante e umano per resistere a non assaggiarli.

Dec 31stI'm a self taught illustrator from the Philippines. My artworks usually focus on women with very long hair surrounded by flowers and vines. Other artworks depend on what I feel or what I have experienced. I do traditional and digital illustrations. I usually listen to music while I draw something because for me it helps a lot when I'm making details to my drawings. My dream is to become a childrens book illustrator. O'Hoski primary creates his work using Acrylic and Oil, but still finds favour in using Watercolour. To date, Christopher has exhibited in New York, Washington, Atlanta, Austin, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Toronto, while recently being published in International Contemporary Artists Volumes I, II and III out of Greece and New York . Né au Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario, Canada, Christopher O'Hoski a étudié en histoire de l'art, peinture, dessin, design, et l'enseignement artistique au Collège Sheridan, l'École d'Art Dundas Valley et le Conservatoire Royal. Christopher peint essentiellement en acryliques et en huiles, mais se trouve souvent inspiré par l’aquarelle. Sep 11thAbout the Artist Born in Cavite yet a pure Bulakenyo, Renz Marrione Bautsita is a personification of youth with a heart for art. Bautista is a Fine Arts major in Advertising student of Bulacan State University who has exemplified his skills in different fields. He has topped visual arts competitions like the 4th Cocolife Colors of Life Student Visual Arts Competition – Runner up (College category), 2011 National Student Art Competition (Art Petron) – Grand Prize (T-shirt design) and Semifinalist (Painting category), 43rd Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC) – 5th honorable mention, 2010 Metrobank Art Design Excellence (MADE) – Semifinalist, and, a grandprize winner in the 1st Bulacan State University Painting Contest. Aside from his artistic excellence, Batista has contributed in BulSU’s official student publicaton, Pacesetter, as a member for 3 years and the Art Director for his last year. He has won Regional and Luzonwide press competitions in editorial cartooning and comic strip drawing.
Jul 15thLowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.
