Poser Pro 2012, and a lot more postwork than I normally do using the el-cheapo Photoshop Elements 10, cause I'm poor folks. I also have almost no idea what I'm doing in photoshop, I'd love cs6, but my skills don't warrant the expense yet. If anyone knows a website with a ton of tutorials, send me links!

damn .. this are some great DDs

Nothing says BOOBs like....those!
May 30th ReplyJurgenDoe
Nope ... they must be very heavy
May 30th Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
In real life, those would be impossiboobs, but I exagerate her for an overall effect. She's more of a comic character than an attempt at realism.
May 31st ReplyJurgenDoe
she sure is and a nice comic character
May 31st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
Thanks! I like rendering her type, I'd like to try adding dynamic fur, and reworking her a bit for a better look.
May 31st ReplyJurgenDoe
well you can do this too .. will take some time but it might be worth it
May 31st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
I'll try it in Daz3d first, using either Garabaldi hair or Look At my Hair. If I get a good result I'll do it in Cararra. I'll have to build the hair maps in Cararra first but Daz will render faster. If that works I have a male version waiting that would look cool.
May 31st ReplyJurgenDoe
I don't know Cararra so I can't say anything about it
May 31st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
It's expensive and buggy but it has some nice tools and can render very nice images. It also imports full poser files (the beta also imports DSON files as well). It does good landscapes (better than Bryce, it has modelling tools, UV mapping tools, surface painting tools, animation, and bullet physics, but as is typical with Daz, NO documantation...at all. So it's a pain in ass to learn. It's all trial and error.
May 31st ReplyJurgenDoe
I hate this DSON ... for poser .. they dials are messing up everything ... I guess they made it because the lost lots of money with this genesis figures and nobody from poser bought it at all
May 31st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
That's pretty much it, they tried to force Poser/Smith Micro into adopting their propriatory file format, and the obvious answer was no. I don't like the way DSON works in Poser at all, so I don't use it. Personally, I think the Daz business model is moronic. I'm surprised they're still in business.
May 31st ReplyJurgenDoe
I hate this DSNO installer .. it doesn't work at all and you can't even dial they whole figure .. since the thought they make Gen5 models as genesis they would bring more people to DAZ Studio but they failed on this one .... now peope stay with the Gen4 models :D
Jun 1st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
I don't mind the G5 figures, except for the fact that they don't work in anything else. The G4 figures can bridge to Cararra and Vue easily, so they still get a lot more use. Genesis has to be a huge flop for Daz, V4 came out in 2006 and is still in use.
Jun 1st ReplyJurgenDoe
It is a big flop for DAZ .. that's why they created the DSNO Importer so maybe people will buy more of this Genesis stuff but they don't because it isn't working in Poser at all
Jun 1st Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
Pretty much lol.
Jun 3rd ReplyJurgenDoe
And Poser user never will use much Studio at all
Jun 4th Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
Most don't.
Jun 4th ReplyJurgenDoe
I won't use it at all
Jun 8th Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
I do some, I tend to bounce all over with apps, depends on my mood, but Poser is by far my fave. I picked up Manga Studio 5, so I'll be fiddling with that a lot more.
Jun 8th ReplyJurgenDoe
na I won't pick this up .. manga isn't my style
Jun 9th Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
I'm not into anime, or Manga, but it's a decent drawing tool
Jun 12th ReplyJurgenDoe
Well I use Photoshop for that :D
Jun 12th Reply Shadowness StaffMadbat
I have Photoshop Express 10, Photoshop is way out of price range.

Mar 1st Reply who wants a hug?Madbat
Speaking of chocolate, I have some with my name on it!
Mar 1st ReplyLucifer
there is Madbat chocolate?
does it have some special effect when you eat it?
Mar 1st Reply who wants a hug?Madbat
Yes, It vanishes! (actually there is no actual Madbat chocolate, we use that expression to indicate we claimed something)
Mar 1st ReplyLucifer
thats too difficult to understand
Mar 2nd Reply who wants a hug?Madbat
When someone says something like "there is a chocolate bar with my name on it" it isn't literal. It means there is one that I am going to go eat. It implies that I have claimed it. Does that make more sense?
Mar 3rd ReplyLucifer
do i have to reply? XD
Mar 3rd Reply who wants a hug?yes yes it does
