I think it´s not important to have a lens. The beauty is not measured by sharpness... You are most welcome!

yes Andre you are right :) sometimes i think i was more happy when i took macro with normal compact because i learned a lot from it and it gave me a lot too :) i am very patient when it goes to macro photos or splashes and i like to play with concept.
you are Mr photographer for me and i have big respect when i am looking at your photos thats why i mentioned the thing about blur because it was like i was shy in front of you that my pic is not as good as it should be :D but i see it the same way as you do...its not about lens or type of camera...its about what we put into our photos because others can see it and feel it too. we put ourself into it, our wishes, our dreams, emotions and feelings with our view of this world and that is what we give others with our art. we show them who we are...thats how i see it :)

I know how it is, i make photos since 3 years ago and i have a macro lens only since last summer. I used a 300 mm IS USM to shot macros and use it very often in the present too. Thanks for your nice words about my photos and i really appreciate it but i have still a lot to learn and have to make a lot experiments to become good. So, i still mean that it´s not important to have macro lens for a good macro shot. The meaning and the expression of the picture is important, nothing else.

i started 3 years ago too with canon power shot :D it was simple but great camera and i learned how to set it manualy. but its true that i started with selfies and macro came 1 year later and i totaly fell in love with it. when my camera fell down from my tripod i had to buy new one and i went to canon eos and my first feelings when i tried to take some pics was really cruel because this camera is quite difficult for setting and after 1 week when i read all the manuals and tutorials i had to stopped and let my brain rest because it made me so confused and i was really unhappy of it. i have this camera for 1 year and still i can not set it properly and just like you i have macro lens since last summer too and i used it only few times because my first trials were the way too blurry :D so i better used standard lens. i am waiting for the spring to start learning how to take good macro with my macro lens and i am looking forward to it very much :) and of course learning how to use PS :)

I had the same problem on the beginning with a DSLR... i used it on the beginning in auto mod... :D ... not anymore.

i used auto mode too and well i still use it ...sometimes :D but it will change from this spring :) when i use auto then i get high ISO and its doing mischief with quality of the photos. and i use macro setting for my splash photos and its working great. i tried another setting too but the result wasnt good because i didnt have proper light and simple lamp is not enough but will try to experiment more.

And problem with the auto are the colors... i can´t get enough. So with M i become so much i want. The light is big problem too, flash destroy the colors and contrasts. I was experimenting with lights a lot, and i find that the best light is in the late afternoon, a few hours before sunset. No strong shadows and the colors are amazing. So my shot trip always starts at 4pm. :D

Andre and how you get so sharp photos? because when i dont use flash then my pics are blurry and flash can make it sharp esp when insect is in move but its true that flash takes a lot from color. i use M too but setting is quite difficult :D because there is a lots of things you need to set the way it was working well together. i used A-DEP too but only for some photos of the flowers and then P or AV. so late afternoon :D thank you for the tip :)

I set the F on the minimum, the ISO of 100 always. So the next is to set the shutter speed till you become -1 exposure comp. The picture will be a bit dark, but you have really deep colors. You can brighten it later in Lightroom or PS.

yes i would say that pic will be darker. i have my camera in my hands right now and trying to set it this way :D i use PS but i got Lightroom too but didnt use it yet. the colors you get in your photos are really stunning and very intensive...i like it a lot. my colors look totaly fake compare to yours :D
