Hi! I'm Eldiardo de la Pena, a freelance graphic artist from the Philippines. I love to design and create stuffs that my intuitive faculty perceives. I’m a fan of simple and simplicity. When I tackle a topic, I don’t think I’m done until I’ve found the simplest way to look at it. I think of simplicity as a process. You can’t always start there, but you can find it or create more of it as you go. I also think of simplicity as a by-product. It happens when I find the elegant path or the simple truth. Sometimes I see simplicity as a means to an end — where the end is a simpler understanding or a simpler result or a simpler way to share. Digital artist Patrick Tang is a rising talent among the thriving arts scene in the coolest of all the Dutch cities, Amsterdam. After an early introduction to erotic fantasy and sci-fi in his formative years, Tang soon found a special connection to the relatedsub-cultures. It was these early influences that led to his eventual foray into the visual arts. With little practical knowledge and heaps of determination he worked persistently at his craft until he felt he’d reached a point of accomplishment. Today his work graces numerous album covers in his native Holland and of course the Internet, every digital artists’ playground. Format chatted briefly with Tang about his rising career and here’s what he had to say… “Well, that all has its origins from my uncle’s birthday parties, where I would look into books of Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazzeta… As far back as I can remember I always had a weak spot for the macabre.”

I'm 27 years old and of Laotian nationality. More about me: I fell in love with art since I was a child. Art has always been my strong subject at school. Sailor moon was my first inspiration to draw manga style. I have not posted my old works yet -- perhaps another day. I’m a simple girl that grew up in the rocky mountains of Colorado. I’ve always had a passion for art and animals. One of my biggest inspirations growing up was my grandmother. She drew great cartoons, and I always wanted to draw like her. As I reached my teens I delved deeper into art by exploring digital work. I never was one for traditional art schools so I am mostly a self taught artist. In 2007, however, I enrolled in an animation program called AnimationMentor.com. From which I obtained a certification in “advanced character animation”. The main thing I love about illustrating is the feelings and emotions that can be put into each piece of art. I love conveying emotion through my art, but I also love to add humor to it as well. I find it equally important to balance both powerful emotion with a good sense of humor.
